a day in the city

I don't often go into the city, but a few good friends and I took a trip for the day to celebrate a birthday.  The weather was sunny and mild, strange for this time of the year, but perfect for the occasion.  We spent our time eating and lingering and observing the sights and sounds.  We even rode the carousel.  I took these photos in black and white because I wanted to capture some of the moments as timeless.  I was reminded today of how time passes by so quickly, but it stressed that I should do something with this time I have and make the most of it.
